I am a freelance producer, cameraman, and editor born in the UK but living in Zimbabwe. I am particularly interested in the role of independent production companies in different countries collabora

ting on stories that affect different cultures, which could generate business for developing media industries around the world. Through the power of creative storytelling, both filmmaking and photography, I aim to contribute towards preserving, conserving and restoring the world we live in, and hope to inspire other people to do the same through creative storytelling.

🟡 Precision in Patience | Striated Heron
Meet one of Africa’s most underrated little hunters—the Striated Heron. Small in size but mighty in skill, this bird perches silently above the water, calculating every move before launching a lightning-fast strike.

I caught this one mid-focus, balancing perfectly on an old branch, eyes locked on its target. These are the moments that often go unseen but are a testament to the quiet drama of the wild.

Up close with a true icon of the African wild.

I stood quietly as this old bull emerged from the thicket, towering and timeless. His weathered tusks and deep, wise eyes spoke volumes—stories of survival, seasons, and strength. There’s nothing quite like being eye to eye with one of nature’s greatest engineers of the landscape.

This image was captured in Mana Pools National Park, one of Zimbabwe’s last great wildernesses. A gentle reminder of why conservation matters—because moments like these are irreplaceable.

Feel free to share if elephants stir something deep in your soul.

An African Open-billed Stork locked in on its meal… while danger lurks just beneath the surface. Mana Pools is full of these quiet dramas — where survival is never guaranteed.

🌅 Mana Pools – An Evening Unfolds

From the quiet stillness of a heron perched on a lone termite mound, the Zambezi floodplains slowly reveal their evening rhythm. Elephants graze along the water’s edge, dwarfed by the ancient escarpment that rises in layered blues beyond.

The Albida trees stand sentinel over golden grasslands, where life moves gently in the fading light. As the sun dips lower, the escarpment glows — a molten wash of gold signalling the day’s last moments.

Finally, the river breathes in calm, its surface catching the colours of dusk, as shadows settle and Mana Pools drifts into night.

One of my favourite encounters — the graceful Saddle-billed stork, perfectly at home in the still waters of Mana Pools National Park. Standing tall and elegant, with its vivid red and yellow bill and towering frame, it looks like nature’s finest brushwork brought to life.

🪶 These striking waterbirds are expert hunters, using their long bills to sn**ch fish, frogs, and even small reptiles from the shallows. Watching this one work with such precision was like witnessing an artist paint with every movement.

"Golden Hour in the wild 🌅✨

As the sun sank into the horizon, the plains of matusadona lit up in gold — and a lone impala stepped into the frame.

Moments like these are fleeting, but their beauty lingers forever.

Kings of the Bush 🦁✨

In the golden light of Hwange National Park, two magnificent male lions rest by the termite mounds, keeping a silent watch over their territory. Their calm gaze hides a lifetime of battles, alliances, and survival in one of Africa’s wildest landscapes.

As the sun begins to dip behind the mopane trees, life gathers at Hwange’s waterholes.

The matriarch leads her herd in for an evening drink, calves tucked close to their mothers as the water reflects the last golden rays. Just a few metres away, baboons sit quietly, cradling their newborns — a moment of stillness before the night stirs.

In this fleeting light, elephants and baboons share the same space, each following their own rhythm of survival and family. Moments like this remind us of the delicate balance that exists in the wild.

🦁 World Lion Day 🦁
From the piercing gaze of a dominant male to the tender moments between a mother and her cubs, every scene is a reminder of the power, grace, and vulnerability of Africa’s most iconic predator.

These images were captured in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe, a stronghold for these magnificent cats. But even here, they face challenges — shrinking habitats, human-wildlife conflict, and the constant need for protection.

Today, we celebrate lions not just as kings and queens of the savannah, but as vital keystone species whose survival is linked to the health of entire ecosystems.

🌅 Kennedy 2 Pan – Hwange National Park 🌅

From the quiet stillness of the pan to the last glow of the sun dipping below the horizon, Kennedy 2 never fails to put on a show.

The day ended with a spectacular sunset, the sky shifting from deep blues to gold, while a flock of red-billed teals skimmed the water’s surface. Moments like these are what make Hwange so special — the meeting of light, land, and life.
