WHEN FASHION MAKES A STATEMENT
Edgars, international clothing store, asked me to design a ball gown made from rubbish which included pages from back copies of their in-house Club Magazine. I drew up a design that included paper, flattened bottle tops, video tape and pull tabs from soda cans and then employed community people I work with when wearing my other hat (as founder/designer/environmentalist of OWN YOUR RUBBISH DESIGN.) With this pool of talent we got busy and produced this rather splendid ball gown, tiara and shawl and then I shot it for the cover and editorial content of Club Magazine.

She's such a talented and easy model to work with and with a touch of lighting magic by Jon Pilch, Lesli Winklmair's awesome make-up, a fantastic location and me rearing to go behind the camera - we had a magic day.
