Which size storage unit do you actually need?

Not sure if you need the medium or the large? 📦

Here's the easy way to think about it:

Medium (3m x 6m) → furniture from a spare room, appliances, boxes from a downsize or a partial move. Enough room to store properly without paying for space you won't use.

Large (3m x 8m) → a full household move, business stock, or anything bulky like furniture sets and equipment. More length, more breathing room.

Before you pack away winter, do these three things first, because five minutes now saves you a soaked, moth-eaten mess in April.

Nobody plans to open a storage box next winter and find their favourite jersey has become a buffet for moths, or that "dustproof" bag was, in fact, lying to them. And yet here we are, every single year.

So before you chuck your winter stuff in a box and call it a day, give it five minutes:

🧺 Wash everything first. Sweat, food stains, and body oils are basically a dinner bell for moths and other things you don't want to think about.

🚱 Dry it properly. Bone dry. Not "it's fine, it'll air out in the box" dry, because that's how you end up with mildew and a smell that never fully leaves.

🛍️ Use actual storage bags, not just any old plastic packet from under the sink. Airtight, sealed, no gaps for tiny opportunistic creatures to sneak through.

🪻Skip the mothballs, they're doing less than you think and smell worse than the moths ever would. A cedar block or lavender sachet does the job without gassing your jersey.

🏷️Label the box. Future you, standing in a storage unit in six months trying to remember which box has the good jacket, will either thank you or curse you. Your choice.

Do the five minutes now. Your winter wardrobe will thank you, and your April self won't have to stage an intervention for a jersey that's seen better days.
