Everyone is living below their God-given potential. This is why we are always told to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (upgrading our means of production). ✋🏾Remember, your mind is the most valuable means of production.
One of the ways that we unlock our prodyctive capacities is by developing skills. It's what l have called the - - for success, addressing skills that are not usually taught in school and our upbringing, but are demanded by life, if we are to maximise our potential.
Yesterday, on our Classic 263 weekly radio program, we were looking at one of the most important skills - 🎯 LEADERSHIP.
💡Leadership is the capacity to influence your conditions and environment until you are the one who determines the destiny of life in that environment.
It is not about position but influence. It begins by taking responsibility for the conditions and environment that we live in. It begins by understanding that we are responsible for the reality we live in and the impact it has on us by our thoughts, perceptions, beliefs, values, expectations, attitudes, actions, and inaction - what we do or fail to do/ our voices or silence.
This is where leadership begins. It begins by understanding that we are all leaders, and our first leadership port of call is our lives - Self-Leadership. Our leadership responsibilities begin by giving attention to our minds and thinking.
This is why the richest person in the ancient world described - as part of - the greatest advice he got from his father saying,
"Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance, and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life. [Prov 4: 23] (AMP)"
A simplified version reads,
"Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do. (NLT)"
