It all started at a fellowship, a prayer service that was meant to bring people together in faith. That’s where I first met Ngazi. At the time, we were just two strangers among many, but something about that moment felt different. We didn’t jump into anything right away, but something quietly began to grow between us as we became friends. We’d talk, share about our lives, and even laugh about the simple things. Over time, that friendship blossomed into something deeper, something more meaningful.

Looking back, I can say with certainty that from the very start, I knew Ngazi was the one for me. It wasn’t a rush, but a quiet confidence in my heart that this was it. I knew she was going to be my wife. There was something about the way she carried herself, the kindness in her heart, and the way we connected so naturally. I found myself praying, asking God for wisdom and clarity, and every time, I felt more sure that Ngazi was who He had chosen for me.

Maya had always been focused on her work, especially on the World Vision project she was collaborating on with Mpundu’s friend. One afternoon, Maya’s friend, who was acquainted with mayas friend by virtue of working together , decided to take her car to the car wash, owned by their friend,
Mpundu had already mentioned to his friend that he liked Maya, but they had never actually spoken beyond brief work exchanges. That day, as Isabella was dropping off the car, she joked with Mpundu about his interest in Maya, and, sensing an opportunity, Mpundu asked isabella, mayas friend to call her.
isabella , knowing Maya was in a bit of a down mood, nudged her to pick up the phone when Mpundu called. Maya, not in the mood for small talk, reluctantly answered.

“Hi, Maya. I know you’re probably not in the best mood today, but I’d like to take you out sometime, maybe help lighten things up a bit?” Mpundu asked gently.

Maya was taken off guard, but something about his sincerity and easy tone made her smile. She agreed, though not sure what to expect.

A week later, Maya was heading down from her office when she spotted Mpundu waiting for her outside. Her heart skipped.
