There are stories you tell from a distance… and then there are stories you stand right inside of.

Eye health is something deeply personal to me. Having worked closely with patients, health workers and communities over the years, I’ve seen how something as simple as sight can shape dignity, independence and opportunity. It’s more than medicine, it’s humanity.
Thank you for the opportunity.

Filming a project on a subject that’s dearly close to my heart — climate change!

Climate change has become a major global issue, and its effects on Pemba Island in Tanzania are significant. Coastal erosion, declining fish populations and the destruction of coastal forests are notable environmental challenges on the island.

KFHI is working in collaboration with government and local leadership to restore vital mangrove forests that had been depleted for charcoal and traditional uses.

Mangroves were planted across 34 different villages, with extensive education provided to the residents of these areas. The initiative led to the formation of community groups dedicated to protecting the environment and reducing climate change impacts.

Renowned Nigerian Photographer Visits Zambia to Strengthen Creative Partnerships

Acclaimed Nigerian photographer Kola Oshalusi is in Zambia for the first time to build strategic partnerships within Africa’s creative sector.

His visit supports collaboration between the National Association of Media Arts (NAMA), an affiliate of the National Arts Council of Zambia, and Africa Creative Market — a continental platform focused on growing Africa’s creative economy.

On 25 February, Oshalusi met with filmmakers and photographers in Makeni, Lusaka, at an interactive session hosted by SFE Productions. Creatives from different levels gathered for a powerful discussion themed The Business of Photography.

He emphasised treating photography not only as an art form but as a sustainable business — grounded in strategy, financial discipline and long-term growth. He also encouraged creatives to explore new niches, strengthen their personal branding and position themselves for corporate partnerships.

Zambia will host the next Africa Creative Market in June 2026, with Lusaka confirmed as a host city — marking a major opportunity for the country’s growing creative sector.
