On this Christmas Day, I’m sharing glimpses of two of Lahore’s most iconic churches – the Cathedral Church of The Resurrection and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral – each a masterpiece of history and faith.
The Cathedral Church of The Resurrection, located on The Mall, was built in 1887 and showcases a blend of Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles. Known for its striking stained glass and towering spire, this Anglican church is a symbol of Lahore's colonial heritage.
The Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral, a Roman Catholic marvel, was constructed in 1907. Its design by Belgian architect Edouard Dobbeleers blends Romanesque and European styles, making it a stunning landmark of spiritual devotion and architectural elegance.
Through my lens, I hope to highlight the rich history and beauty of these sacred spaces for Christians that continue to inspire there generations.
