"Bij jou is elke plek thuis" 🇳🇱

Some places feel like they were made for love stories.

This beautiful couples session took us to Kasteel Groeneveld in Baarn, surrounded by winding paths, old trees and the quiet beauty of one of the Netherlands’ most historic country estates. 🌿

Fun fact: Kasteel Groeneveld was built around 1710 as a summer estate for wealthy city residents, particularly Amsterdam merchants. The surrounding park has changed through the centuries , from a formal French-style garden to the romantic English landscape you can wander through today.

And honestly, it makes the most beautiful setting for photographs.

Because sometimes the best photographs aren't about where you are — they're about who you're standing beside.

“Samen is alles mooier.” 🇳🇱
Together, everything is more beautiful 🌷

And honestly, some places just seem to make love feel a little softer.

This couples session took us through Wandelbos Groenendaal in Heemstede, one of those beautiful corners of the Netherlands where nature and history seem to meet.
The forest was once part of the historic Groenendaal estate, with its beautiful landscaped avenues and park dating back centuries.

And I think there's something rather fitting about photographing love somewhere with a little history of its own.

A little wandering.
A lot of laughter.
Warm forest light.
And two people who make it all look effortless. 🤎

To every couple and family who trusted me with your memories while I was in the Netherlands — thank you.

Thank you for inviting me into your moments, for trusting my vision, and for allowing me to document the laughter, the love, the little in-between moments, and everything that makes your story uniquely yours.

I’m back home in South Africa now, and over the next three weeks I’ll be tucked away editing, curating and carefully preparing your galleries — giving each image the time and attention it deserves.

What an absolute joy is w poas doing this shoot!

Not only did they have the cutest dog named Ollie 🤍

But they were also so easy to shoot. It always brings me so much joy when you can tell two people just really care for each other.

The type where if you see them, you can stand back and think "The Lord really put them together" 💕

Baie dankie dat julle my eerste shoot hier in Nederland so kosbaar gemaak het 🤗🇳🇱
