Here is a more in depth Behind The Scenes:
6 July 2026
Some moments are bigger than photographs—they become memories that stay with you.
Yesterday, I had the incredible privilege of being part of the official handover of 38 new homes at the Louwville Housing Project in Ward 13. It was a day filled with tears of joy, gratitude, and hope as families finally received the keys to homes they had waited so long for.
One of the moments that touched me most was seeing 86-year-old Mrs. Engelbrecht and the well-known (Porsie) Mr. Adams receive the keys to their new homes.
Mr. Adams heartfelt reaction has since captured the hearts of many across social media, and witnessing it in person was something truly special.
Behind every set of keys is a story of patience, resilience, and a dream finally becoming reality. Seeing those smiles, the embraces, and the overwhelming emotion reminded me that a home is so much more than walls and a roof—it's dignity, security, and a place where new memories will be made.
The ceremony was attended by the Western Cape Minister of Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers, the Executive Mayor of Saldanha Bay Municipality, Marius Koen, members of the Mayoral Committee, beneficiaries, and members of the community.
I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to document such a meaningful milestone. These are the stories that remind me why I love what I do—not just capturing images, but preserving moments that change lives forever. ❤️
