Photographing a wedding is always personal. It is even more so when the bride is a wedding photographer herself.

To be trusted with her day was an immense honour.

Everything about it reflected her: considered, elegant, and effortlessly beautiful. She has a presence that doesn’t need to demand attention, yet holds it in every frame.

Days like these remind me that photography, at its best, is not about creating moments, but recognising them. True luxury is found in simplicity, in detail, and in being fully present.

I had the privilege of spending a week in Johannesburg covering a Women in Science event supported by L’Oréal.

It was an inspiring experience from start to finish — celebrating remarkable women in science, capturing their achievements, and documenting the energy and purpose behind the programme.

Being surrounded by such talent, dedication and vision made the week truly meaningful. Moments like these are a reminder of why I love what I do — telling stories through photography in spaces where impact and innovation come together.
