This week marks 5 years since I went full time, and I still can’t believe this is my job. 🥹

Five years of weddings, of being trusted with some of the most important days of people’s lives. Five years of arriving somewhere as a stranger and leaving feeling like family. Five years of crying behind my lens- Yes, it still happens sometimes.

I’ve spent a lot of time this year thinking about the kind of photographer I want to be, and more importantly, the kind of people I want to do this with. And I keep coming back to the same thing. Kindness, compassion and transparency. I’m so grateful that I know that I'll be shooting the stories I’m genuinely meant to be a part of.

If you’ve been here for a while, thank you for supporting my small business. If you’re new here, welcome! I’m really glad you found me.🤍

The wedding day where Cape Town’s wind decided to go in full force. We had hair flying and flower arrangements escaping, but once again (and I’m sounding like a broken record), everyone embraced the weather, laughed in the chaos, and held each other tighter with every gush. It got blurry closer to the edge of Chapman’s Peak; you had four shooters testing their cameras’ shutter speeds, but ultimately, it was a wedding day that was so incredibly alive!

These photos were captured alongside the incredibly talented . It was such a privilege to be behind a second lens on this day.

If soaking up the day was a couple, it would be these two. These photos just show a glimpse of the day, but one thing I took away from this wedding was that presence will always be beautifully captured.

And just like that my 2025/2026 wedding season comes to an end. I was fortunate enough to be part of 25+ weddings since August last year and it has been the most rewarding season yet. I’m known to go quiet when life gets busy, but with the changes of algorithms and sudden shifts of social media, AI and how our online platforms have changed, it felt important to be completely present with my couples.

This industry has changed drastically since I started, but the one thing that my couples have in common is their desire to be present with their people and having their memories beautifully captured. That's where the human touch will never get lost.

Thank you to all the couples who have trusted me! I'm so excited to be sharing my new work!

When the chaos of the city meets calm, warm love.
There's a different kind of unpredictability of a city wedding that makes it so easy to simply capture what's in front of you. Cape Town city weddings has my whole heart! 🫶🏻

More of this please! I'm so serious 🥹

Liétte & Iaan 🤍
Calm and intentional are the two words that come to mind when I think of their wedding day. I stepped in and immediately felt the strong sense of safety they’ve created for each other. Every look they shared was filled with complete adoration. Eyes say so much, and for these two, they said everything in the quiet moments.

On a beautiful gloomy day in Still bay, I had the absolute best time capture all the love between Kirsten and Carla.

Everything about this day was so light and effortless, and their energy was contagious. I feel like I matched Carla's facial expressions throughout the day, so a lot of big smiles were shared.

When you turn your passion into your career, it can become all-consuming. It’s all you think about, read about, and dream about. At least, that’s how it was for me and longer than it should’ve been.

I knew I needed an off switch, and the only thing that felt right was to lean into analog.

For documenting our personal moments, it’s film in all the different shapes. We especially love shooting black and white, and Selwyn develops it for us. There’s something so special about seeing photos you’d forgotten come to life in the darkroom.

We also love our VHS camcorders. Some of our favourite videos ever were captured on those tapes.

For music, it’s our vinyls. My husband curates six records to display at a time, and it’s become a ritual in our home, he takes his time and does it so intensionally.

Even my journaling has shifted. I’ve stepped away from digital notes and started writing again. Stories, dreams, and thoughts that help me quiet my mind.

Leaning into analog has reminded me what it means to pause, to feel, and to create just for us.
