2026 The Year of the Horse

Our studio continues to serve the Overberg community, South Africa, and international clients with a full suite of creative services. From eye-catching mood boards to bold graphics, we bring your ideas to life. Need personal or branded stationery? Striking brochures, flyers, or professional adverts? We deliver design that’s on-trend, impactful, and impossible to ignore. And now, drumroll please, we build websites that do more than look good, they sell, grow, and stand out. From sleek landing pages to full online stores, we handle the tech, design, and customer journey so your brand shines online. We now additionally offer precision cutting on custom branding, signage, Tees and more, opening a whole new world of creative possibilities. We’re thrilled to now have a little studio of our own on Suurbraak Main Road, right inside In Paradise, a vibrant collective space full of creativity and good vibes. Here, Mandy has room to create, organize, and bring ideas to life that really pop, whether it’s Red Hot Blue Design projects or playful pieces under the Mandy Makes brand. From bold graphics to handmade fun, this is where the magic happens, ideas take shape, and small projects get the attention they deserve. Pop by, say hi, and see what’s happening in our little corner of In Paradise.

*Red Hot Blue Design Concepts was established in 2008 and operates from their studio in Suurbraak's main Road, just 10min from Swellendam in the overberg region.

Sometimes getting the perfect shot means climbing into flower beds, disappearing into bushes, and chasing the light. 🌿📸

This behind the scenes moment with Donna perfectly sums up what great content is all about. It’s not expensive cameras or fancy studios. It’s knowing how to see the shot.

That’s exactly what my Kickstart Sessions are about.

I’ll help you learn how to photograph your products with your cellphone, build your brand, create content with confidence, and make your social media work for your business.

Because you just never know that sometimes the perfect shot is waiting on the other side of a few branches. 😉

Small town living • New business cards for Suurbraak.co.za and a fresh website created and operated by Red Hot Blue Design/Mandy Makes!

Looking for a little update for your online presence? A business card? Get in touch!

One of my favourite projects is Suurbraak.co.za, a community website I created to celebrate and support the village of Suurbraak.

From building and maintaining the website to managing its social media channels, I share local news, events, business features, tourism information, and community stories.

It's a project close to my heart and a way for me to use my creative skills to give back to the community.

Visit us at our studio in Suurbraak to chat more about the beautiful place we call home.

A LITTLE DESIGN SECRET…I can’t show you the whole project yet.

But I can show you a little peek at what’s been keeping my designer brain very happy lately.

This is one of those really cool projects where I get to play with the whole visual world.

Exterior. Interior. Branding. Packaging. Menus. Signage. Colours. Patterns. Tiny details. Big ideas. And then going old school and doing actual moodboards to s making this girl super happy!

And the brief has all my favourite ingredients: coastal nostalgia + South African colour + retro charm + a generous splash of personality.

It’s still under wraps for now, so consider this your sneak peek through the keyhole. 👀

There’s a lot more coming.

Hello Friday! We are all loving the new sign at In Paradise Cafe & Hub.

Sarah came with a clear idea of what she wanted, and it was all plain sailing from there! Next on the agenda is a fabulous lightbox sign for their main entrance which I am super excited to see up in lights!
