There was even more friendly competition in store for our team as we hopped on the bandwagon and joined the participants, spectators and judges at Agri’s Got Talent! 🎤
For the past decade, this inspiring initiative has empowered talented farm, pack house and cellar workers in the fruit and w**e industries to develop their singing talents, take centre stage and showcase their remarkable contributions. Participants also benefit from voice and stage training, professional performance coaching, a singing competition that provides a platform to shine, and a life skills workshop focused on personal growth.
The winner receives a cash prize and the opportunity to perform at prominent agricultural events. What a privilege to share in the energy, talent and celebration! 🌟👏

Touch rugby, team spirit and a celebration to remember! 🏉

We joined Eendrag Men’s Residence for their annual Dames Touch event, celebrating women in rugby.

Teams took to the field to compete for the championship, before rounding off the day with good food, good friends and good music.

From the action on the field to the celebrations afterwards, there was plenty to enjoy!

What a weekend: firing things up at the SA BBQ Festival at Sandringham, soaking up the community spirit at the Welgemoed Straatwinkel, bringing back Eendrag Men’s Residence’s annual “Dames Touch” touch rugby tournament, and wrapping it all up with Jeremy Loops at Woordfees in Jan Marais Park. 🔥🏉🎶

Tom Lanoye’s fierce reimagining of the Trojan War brings the voices of Greek and Trojan women to the forefront. Mothers, lovers and warriors confront war, patriarchy, state power and historical trauma in a lyrical cry of anger, resistance and peace.

Featuring Anna-Mart van der Merwe, Antoinette Kellermann, Rolanda Marais, Carla Smith, Roeline Daneel and Geon Nel.

Directed and designed by Marthinus Basson, with set and lighting design by Nicolaas de Jongh, costumes by Phyllis Midlane, and stage management by Nicolaas de Jongh with Jean du Plessis.

Lights. Stories. Record. 🎭🎥

DPK Productions had the opportunity to record the 11th Teksmark at Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre Centre on 10–11 September 2026.

The event brought 14 new South African works to the stage, with playwrights pitching their ideas and professional actors and directors presenting 10-minute playreadings. It created a valuable space for fresh voices, collaboration and conversations shaping the future of local theatre across all official South African languages.

We loved capturing these creative moments and preserving the stories behind them.

🎥 We were proud to handle the live broadcast for the recent STIAS lecture with Prof. Brian G. Fox from UW‑Madison.
The session, “Outsmarting foot‑and‑mouth disease: From gene to vaccine,” gave viewers a clear look at how the virus works, why it evolves so quickly, and how new mRNA technology is shaping the future of vaccines. Our stream helped remote audiences follow every detail — from the science to the real‑world regulatory steps needed to bring these breakthroughs to the public.
We love using our tech to connect people to important OneHealth conversations about the links between humans, animals, and our environment. 🌍🐃

2026 marks the 100 year anniversary of the passing of the legendary Anglo-Boer War Activist Emily Hobhouse.
During the Anglo-Boer War, Hobhouse travelled to South Africa to expose the horrific, deprived conditions and high mortality rates inside the British concentration camps holding Boer women and children.
After the war, she returned to help impoverished families by establishing spinning and weaving schools to cultivate cottage industries and empower young women.
After her death in London, her ashes were brought to South Africa and buried at the foot of the National Women's Monument in Bloemfontein during a massive state funeral on October 27, 1926.

What an incredible experience to be part of FOOD = DESIGN. A festival for chefs, designers, artists, architects, food lovers, students and anyone who enjoys seeing everyday things in a new way.

DPK was lucky enough to be part of the wonderful team that made this event possible. We supplied the technical support, including screens, AV and sound, as well as monitoring and managing the online representatives who were incorporated into the event.

We are grateful to have played a role in an event filled with creativity, collaboration and inspiration.

What a weekend in Stellenbosch!
We spent Homecoming weekend running across Stellenbosch University’s campus and surrounds with a small crew, camera gear in hand, capturing the moments that make this annual celebration so special.
Every September study break, alumni return to reconnect with their faculties, residences, societies and friends — and this year was filled with everything from cocktail parties and spitbraais to formal dinners and heartfelt conversations between generations of Maties.
It was a real honour to capture some of those memories. Here are a few photos from our journey across time, space and Stellenbosch.
