Imagine spending an hour in a gorgeous spot with your favourite people, focusing on nothing but each other. No thinking about the to-do list, whether anyone ate enough dinner, or how to entertain the kids.

​Clients often tell me how much they loved their session, and I've been mulling over why. In the middle of daily life, having time with zero distractions to just be with your family is so rare. (And let's be honest, seeing your partner all dressed up is a great perk too 🥰)

The most magical, authentic moments during a shoot never happen when everyone is staring at the camera and saying cheese.

​Your job during your photoshoot isn't to direct, pose, or keep everyone perfectly still. Your only job is to play, giggle, tickle, and connect with your kids.

​Leave the rest to me! My job is to guide you naturally, capture the genuine spark between your family, and make sure everyone feels relaxed and turns up as themselves.

Ever wondered what a photoshoot is like with me? ​When you book a shoot with me, you aren’t just signing up to sit still and smile at a lens.🙃 We are going to move, play, and laugh!
​As you can see in this carasoul, we’ll get a few beautiful, traditional shots with everyone looking at the camera... But most of our time will be spent with me giving you fun prompts rather than stiff poses.
​Tickling your kids, tossing them up in the air, and just letting loose isn’t "ruining" the shot—it is the shot. It’s how we capture genuine giggles, real crinkly-nosed smiles, and the true essence of your family right now.
​So when you’re in front of my camera, take a deep breath, try your best to forget I’m there, and just love on your kids. I’ll handle the rest. 📸✨

From newborn snuggles to garden adventures. 🌿 It’s been such a joy watching Bodie grow and being invited back to capture this family’s story as it unfolds. There is something so incredibly special about the ordinary magic of a normal afternoon at home. ❤️

From Germany to the heart of the Winelands! 🇩🇪✈️🇿🇦 This sweet family traveled so far to capture these memories, and the mountains definitely rolled out the red carpet for them. That sunset sky was almost as radiant as their beautiful baby. A little piece of South African magic to take back home.

So many of my sessions don’t feel like work, and this was definitely one of them. I spent the afternoon following this beautiful family around, and honestly? I didn’t want it to end. From the laughter to the way they just ooze love, they reminded me exactly why I love photography.

No stiff poses, no "cheese"—just real, messy, fun family time 📸✨

Sun-drenched memories and salty kisses. 🐚

​I think it’s safe to say we’ve all lived in our swimming cozzies over the December holidays! There is no better way to spend a holiday than with family at the water’s edge. As we all trade the beach towels for laptops and school bags this week, I’m praying for a productive, joyful, and blessed year for every one of you.

Surprise! I’m back. 🥂

​After an accidental five-month break from posting to focus entirely on my clients and editing, I realised it was time to pop up and say hello! I couldn’t think of a better way to return than by sharing this incredible couple.
