Such a beautiful sight watching an Elephant crossing the Letaba river.

Whilst editing the footage I kept thinking about how reminded me about the role of Elephants in Kruger and how they are the ecosystem Engineers in the park. Its easy to see why just due to their sheer size. Truly majestic.

Footage taken from the Letaba bridge in May 2025.

Tong Talks - Episode 2 - Interview with Mexican Conservation Star Dileri Berdeja. (Part 1).

Enjoy a snippet from the full interview I did with Dileri at the SSLI in Skukuza in the Kruger National Park in Skukuza. Full interview link in my bio!

Dileri is an amazing conservation scientist currently doing her Master’s degree and is involved actively in understanding invasive species in river ecosystems and takes part in conducting surveys and educating local communities.

She has a passion for all Wildlife and madly loves South Africa. She also casually showed me a tree where the resident Black Mamba lives in camp 😱

Well worth the watch and you also get a sneak peek into what this state of art facility looks like right here in the South African Bushveld!

And yes, I also made her say some Afrikaans words and she was such a good sport!

Monkey business at the Skukuza Golf Club!

The Vervet patrol were out and about again yesterday at the Skukuza Golf Club

They installed a massive new canvas tent over the restaurant which is working very well in curbing the behaviour of these tiny lunatics, although that said, these little Dr Suess characters are just never to be fully stopped.

The gang is a force of nature and you always have to have your wits about you as they are always watching you to skyf a chippie! 😂🐒

I love them though and they are endless entertainment!

Kruger, what were you like when you were younger ?

Happy Birthday Kruger. May we be able to preserve you for another century. 🙏❤️

Enjoy this short trip down memory lane with me with a mix of vintage Kruger photos and some memories of my own footage from days gone by.

Not gonna lie this one was a tough emotional build for me as some memories just come flooding back involuntarily.

We love you Kruger. We know you got hurt a lot in your centennial year and we are hurting deeply with you.

Many of us feel uneasy. Many of worry about you.

But I assure you, some of us are here to fight for you.

African traffic jam! 🐘

In Africa traffic jams can sometimes be a tad different…

I’m heading to Skukuza today to interview a Mexican river ecologist and conservationist and I might just be a bit late for my appointment…

Do you think I have a valid excuse ? 😂🐘

Ferocity personified.

Nothing quite like witnessing a Lion yawn up close.

This was taken on the Engelhart road close to Letaba camp on a night drive back in 2022.

Two large kings were taking a break from marking territory and we were lucky enough to find them after also finding them earlier in the day.

Kruger memories never fade!

“I also love birds, they are so cute!”

Izzit ?

Watch this Big Boss African Harrier Hawk absolutely mangle this Lizard.

These guys are SO mean, when they land on a tree they go to WORK like an absolute assassin. They are methodical and calculated and every other bird or animal smaller than them scramble away in a state of absolute panic.

They arrive, seek furiously through every hole, every hiding spot with pin point radar like accuracy.

The locate their next victim and proceed to flawlessly execute the plan. With INTENT.

This guy was up and down the branches, sticking its head in every gap and furiously searched, often times gripping with its monster claws, flipping upside down like an athlete.

Then afterwards its straight on to the next job!

If you are looking for inspiration on getting things done in your life, look ni further than the African Harrier Hawk.

Snapping necks and taking cheques.

Footage taken close to Crocodile Bridge Camp in Kruger about a month ago.

I asked Minister Willie Aucamp to settle the debate for us on North vs South Kruger.

Once again the Minister Aucamp demonstrated a deep knowledge of the Kruger Park.

He does not only know the camps well but is also evidently well versed on the geography, vegetation and animals of each region and his face lit up when recalling memories and the nostalgia only Kruger can evoke in one’s soul.

Such a privilege to have a true Kruger lover in parliament and an added bonus to have the park in his portfolio.

If you have any suggestion for other Kruger, Wildlife or Outdoor personalities I should ask some questions next please let me know in the comments! Willie Aucamp

I asked Minister Aucamp what his favourite camp is in Kruger.

Let me tell you the man knows his camps VERY well!

He is so well versed on all the camps and knows each in detail. It should make every South African and Kruger lover very proud to have a person with such love for the Park in power.

To have someone that truly LOVES and KNOWS the park as the big boss can only be a bonus to 🇿🇦

Give me your thoughts in the comments please!

Also tell me what other Kruger, Wildlife or Outdoor personality you would like me to ask some questions next (spoiler alert, I already have some lined up too!).
