The Kgalagadi is a wonderful place with much to see for the patient. During the dry season the riverbeds are so open that all sightings can be enjoyed for extended periods and the photography is that much easier. Which of these species is your favourite?

After a few slow days, I drove from Shingwedzi to Pafuri. En route I got to watch this pack of wild dogs waking up and start interacting. Have you been able to spot these rare canines in Kruger?

Please vote for your favourite between these two images? Six months after the original edit I decided to try setting the exposure the opposite direction and am now unsure which I prefer.

Taken near Twee Rivieren, Kgalagadi.

One of my best ever sightings where I got to witness the interactions between white-backed vultures and lappet-faced vultures. This was about 1km from Shingwedzi in the very late afternoon.

The first two are my favourites, one for the amusing two bodied one headed vulture and the other for the action. Please put a like/comment on your favourite😍

The Kgalagadi is a truly special place. There may not be sightings around every corner like in Kruger but there is a different kind of magic here. Sightings last a long time and are clearly visible, there are fewer cars and some rare species to spot. Which park do you prefer?

Some interesting clouds from Kruger. Not all days are filled with leopards, some days barely even have impala, so then I look at the clouds.

Sometimes it is the obvious leopard, sometimes it is a baby elephant taking a mud bath, sometimes it is the worst injured hippo I have ever seen, but always, the Kruger National Park produces! Comment below please, are any of these animals your favourite, or is it a different species?
