💍 WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT GUIDELINES 🤍
Please read before booking your wedding shoot with us. We don’t do venues at all. We do wedding pics in our garden (beautiful garden) and or studio
We absolutely LOVE photographing weddings, and we want you to get as many beautiful, varied and natural images as possible. To make sure we can give you the best possible result, please keep the following in mind:
📸 ONE FULL SHOOT = ONE MAIN OUTFIT/LOOK
A full photoshoot is designed around one main outfit and look.
If you would like to photograph your wedding dress in our garden AND have two different outfits in the studio, these will require TWO full shoots.
The two shoots can be done on the same day — they do not have to be booked at the same time. This means your hair and makeup can still be done only once.
If you would like to include a traditional outfit or another additional look, this can also be arranged as a separate shoot, ideally at another time of day.
💐 BRING WEDDING PROPS & EXTRAS
Please feel free to bring beautiful wedding props and extras that you would like incorporated into your photographs, such as beautiful flowers, a bouquet, a veil or other meaningful wedding details.
A veil is especially recommended because there are so many different and beautiful photographs that can be created using it, adding movement, variety and a romantic feel to your gallery.
IMPORTANT - please don't say you are bringing a veil, and then NOT bring it - as I will be preparing to take photos with it - then when u get here - its last minute change of plans -
🌿 OUR GARDEN & LIGHTING
Our garden is available for wedding photoshoots and provides beautiful natural light. Because natural light changes throughout the day, please arrive on time for your booked appointment.
Arriving significantly late can mean missing the best light available for your photographs. Some parts of the garden can become too dark later in the day, and this can affect the quality of the photographs and what we are able to achieve during editing.
Your appointment time is booked for your photography session, so please plan to arrive ready to start at your booked time.
👰♀️ PLEASE TRY YOUR WEDDING DRESS ON BEFORE YOUR SHOOT
Please make absolutely certain that your wedding dress fits comfortably and that you can move in it before arriving for your appointment. Also make sure that if there are tags or hanging strips sticking out that you put them inside with a pin - or cut them off, so that it does not keep popping out on day of shoot -
Our posing is not limited to simply standing.
We may want to have you sit, bend, move, lean, lie back, sit on your husband’s lap or create other natural poses to give you a beautiful variety of photographs.
A dress that is so tight or restrictive that you cannot move comfortably will unfortunately limit the poses we can create — and we want you to have as much variety as possible.
Please also remember that an appointment is booked for photography time. If a dress does not fit when you arrive and significant time has to be spent trying to solve the problem, that takes valuable time away from your actual photoshoot.
Please make sure beforehand that you are able to wear the dress comfortably and that it allows you enough freedom of movement for the type of posing we do.
🗣️ DURING THE PHOTOGRAPHS
Of course, chatting, laughing and enjoying yourselves is part of the fun! ❤️
However, during the actual photographing, please allow us a little quiet time between conversations so that we can capture the best expressions and moments.
If you are talking continuously while photographs are being taken, we can unfortunately end up with photographs where you are caught mid-word or making an unintended expression.
✨ MOST IMPORTANTLY — TRUST YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
We will guide you through your poses and movement. We don’t simply want you standing in the same position for an hour.
Our goal is to create variety — different poses, angles, expressions, compositions and backgrounds so that your final gallery tells a beautiful story.
