Ostriches may be the world’s largest birds, but they definitely aren’t short on personality.

Did you know? Hippos can’t actually swim! Instead, they push off and walk or bounce along the bottom of rivers and lakes, holding their breath for several minutes at a time.

This beautiful snake shows just how incredible wildlife can be when you take the time to look closely. From its intricate scales to its perfectly adapted form, every detail tells a story. 📸🌿

Fun fact: 🐍 Snakes don’t have eyelids! Instead, their eyes are protected by a transparent scale called a spectacle, which they shed along with the rest of their skin.
