The group show at the Prince Albert Gallery is a brilliant way to get a sense of what is on offer throughout town during Prince Albert Open Studios. If your time is limited, you'll be able to identify your "don't want to miss" offerings, and make an "if time allows" list too.

There's still time to plan a visit to Prince Albert for a super-bumper Open Studios. The Swartberg Pass is already open to 4x4 and high clearance vehicles, and the road between Oudtshoorn and Cango Caves is due to be cleared by 5th June, so we should be accessible to visitors from the South again by the time we open. I'll share the programme in the next post, so you can get an idea of the fresh and diverse creative offerings to which you can look foward. #

This mixed media encaustic (40x40cm, 2025, Don't Fence Me In 2) will be included in the exhibition Praatland at the upcoming Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees (28 March - 4 April) in Oudtshoorn.

Curators Juria le Roux and Brahm van Zyl invited seasoned South African painters to engage in conversation with the Karoo landscape.

Also participating are Alet Swarts, Anton Karstel, Benjamin Coutouvidis, Brahm van Zyl, Catherine Ocholla, Cobus van Bosch, Desmond Mnyila, Diane McLean, Diane Johnson-Ackerman, Erika van Zyl, Estelle Marais, Heidi Botha, Hermann Niebuhr, Jacobus Kloppers, Johann Louw, Johan Coetzee, John Kramer, Juria le Roux, Luan Nel, Lisl Barry, Mpho Machate, Nhlanhla Nhlapo, Merle de Jager, Susan Grundlingh, Robyn Pretorius and Willie Bester.
