As photographers, I think we’re often standing just outside of it all.

Not part of the love story.
Just close enough to catch what slips through.

And love is strange like that.
It hides in small places.
in the almost invisible way one person turns toward the other without thinking.

And while it’s all unfolding, I’m usually tracing the day out in my mind too.
A romantic playbook, I suppose.

This felt like that to me.
Like something soft I wasn’t meant to interrupt.

Some shoots are hard to explain. Not because there’s nothing to say, but because you FEEL them before you understand them.

That was Lauren and Chris for me. The dress,the drifting light, the dark water and the birds cutting through the silence. Everything just felt a little suspended, somehow strange, almost unreal.

I used to go to Stonehaven with my ouma and oupa when I was little, and I remember how big it felt back then. Dreamy in that way places only feel when you’re a child. So maybe that’s why this shoot felt the way it did to me. Like I was reaching for something I had felt there a long time ago..

You’ve been asking… and I’m finally announcing it:

I’m hosting a Fine Art Shoot + Edit Workshop.

Because fine art isn’t luck — it’s love in the details.
And I know the pain points too well:

You capture a moment that felt magical… but the images don’t match what you saw.
Golden hour moves fast, posing feels awkward, you’re juggling light + focus + pressure…
and then editing becomes a spiral trying to get that soft, clean, consistent fine art finish.

So this workshop is built around the two things that change everything:
shooting with intention + editing with consistency— using the same images we create.

It’s a pre-launch and I’m keeping it limited so it stays hands-on.
