There are people who paint with colour... and then there are people who paint with kindness.

Meeting Zanelle was one of those reminders that true beauty begins long before someone picks up a brush. She has one of the gentlest hearts I've had the privilege of photographing, and you can feel it in everything she creates.

We met at the gym 😄 Before I saw her, I smelled her! And so a wonderful friendship started.

As a watercolour artist, she doesn't rush the process. Layer upon layer, colour finds its place, much like life itself. Her favourite Psalm is Psalm 23, and after getting to know her, I understand why.

"He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul." 🤍

That quiet peace became the inspiration behind this session. My goal wasn't simply to create portraits for her website, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. I wanted to tell the story of the woman behind Dancing Brush —an artist whose work flows from a heart that is gentle, creative and full of grace.
