Zebras are nature’s very own black-and-white masterpieces!
My favourite is the baby Zebra bum🥹

Each zebra sports a unique pattern of stripes, much like a fingerprint, making every shot a one-of-a-kind treasure. Their playful personalities, often seen frolicking or posing with their buddies, add a lively flair to any photograph. Plus, their expressive eyes and fluffy manes bring a sense of charm and character, making them irresistibly photogenic.

They’re definitely a species that I can sit and watch through my lens for hours🦓

First Critically Endangered Black Rhino Calf Born at Care for Wild to Two Orphaned Poaching Survivors

Rescued and rehabilitated rhino orphan Phoebe has given birth to her first calf at Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary in South Africa. This is an extraordinary milestone in rhino conservation and a historic and emotional moment for Petronel and the Care for Wild team.

While this marks the 19th calf born at Care for Wild, it is the very first black rhino calf born to two rehabilitated orphans of poaching.

Rescued in 2017 after poachers killed her mother, Phoebe was brought to Care for Wild for extensive rehabilitation and care. She was later joined by another black rhino orphan, Ratu, in early 2018. After their rehabilitation, they entered a complex rewilding and reintroduction program and have now welcomed their first calf.

This year, Care for Wild celebrates 10 years of dedicated rhino conservation—10 years of immense effort, passion, resilience, hard work and determination. Witnessing this tiny, critically endangered black rhino calf safe with his mom and dad is incredibly exciting and so unbelievably humbling. What a privilege and a blessing.
