South Africa has an astounding 850 different species of birds, each one unique to its habitat and behavior. Birds have been one of the most studied and documented animals on earth, purely because of their diversity. The hobby of birdwatching has almost become an addiction to society worldwide.

Photographing birds can be tricky, especially because they never sit completely still and have very good senses to sense a human close by. You need patience and perseverance!

So here is a collection of just some my selected birding photography work. For me as photographer, birds always entertain me. It is indeed an animal that always impress and the most exciting part of bird photography is that you discover new species constantly!

A Wildlife Exhibition following our recent visit to the Kruger National Park.

The park still holds a large piece of biodiversity and nature that gives one a glimpse on how South Africa/Africa looked like before human settlement expanded. This is especially unique and precious. Our land has so much to offer to the animals and people, if only we could keep it that way. Sanparks has done a great job, conserving some of this ancient landscape.

By exhibiting these photos, I would like to celebrate the park and all that it holds dear. Our visit to the Kruger was long due and finally it came to pass. Luck was on our side as we entered the Masorini gate, stayed in 4 camps - Letaba, Satara, Skukuza and finally Pretoriuskop. Every visit to the park is a unique experience. What a great time we had, memories that will never fade, but grow.
