So we went for a stroll this afternoon and I took my lovely old Canon 30D with me. These images are pretty much as is off-the-card.

She still delivers.

For a variety of reasons I am moving away from and limiting my commercial photography.

Photography for fun? Yes! Shooting lots of film? Hell YEAH!

With my first love of Pentax I just added another gem to my collection…

Nothing more than a quick play and I really must say I am quite impressed. The first stop was seeing how sharp it resolves at the infinity-focus end.

Then I simply pointed in all directions.

Although any lens will perform adequately in middle-of-road kind of settings, I plan to test, amongst others, at wide open and minimum focusing distance for a start...

Now to find my creative eye...

Hello All

I trust 2026 had been good to you this far?

So here us my first bit of photographic fun for the year…

I recently got this quaint little lens, a Sankor 135mm f/3,5 and it had a bit of fungus so I sent it for a proper CLA. That is Clean, Lunricate and Adjust - for the benefit of non-nerds and other normal people out there…

I got it back a few days ago and it cleaned up beautifully.

The question now was, what can it do…

Having had it serviced by Bill, it is as good as the day it left the factory but I have to see what it can do…

Playing now, initial verdict later.😉

So here follows a bit of TMI but, for those who might REALLY be interested😉…

The last few months saw me reshuffling my equipment with a shift away from digital and towards film.

No, I am not completely ditching digital…😂

Also, I am scaling down on Canon gear in favour of my first love, Pentax.
