Painted wolfs are very social animals and are known to share food or care for injured pack members, as we saw with this pack. There was one dog with a broken left front leg, making him much slower than the rest of the pack, but we witnessed how the pack would stop and wait down the road for the injured pack member to catch up and rest before they carried on down the road. This was truly remarkable as one could see that no member gets left behind.

Owls are my favorite birds. This was the first time I ever spotted a Barred Owl, and was he amazing.

I actually walked past him the first time but managed to spot him somehow on my way back to the car in Berg en Dal rest camp.
