So this post is quite special and I'll explain why, now I know im not supposed to have favorite animals and attachments but these 2 lion cubs have wormed there way into my heart and this is why.. so when I came for a interview at Makongo hills we went on a few drives and on our last drive we found the splinter pride and there was a beat up lioness with 4 cubs and then I saw two beat up runts the one had a limp and it's tail was almost in half I dubbed her Halftail, and her brother that had a swollen face and limp also dubbing him Scar for now, when I saw them being runts and still walking with the pride after these fresh wounds I instantly knew I must know their fates an see the growth and with starting my work at Makongo Hills iv seen them countless times and looking very healthy and I was so happy about that but then we had a amazing encounter where a buffalo cow got stuck in the mud and died and they found it even though the Buffalo refused to leave the carcass the lions would keep trying to eat an get chased off till eventually they left and the lions moved in and started feasting and then I saw Scar and Halftail eating together with new wounds her with a gash behind the ribs and him on the lower back a puncture mark but they still stuck together. Then to my suprise the Buffalo started stalking back to the carcass and wanted to run them off the male sensed this an roared trying to scare them but they chased him off, and caused the rest of the pride to scatter all except halftail who still kept eating and then got chased and returned with her brother scar and they ate alone with a eye on the Buffalo but they were getting their full, then a dagga boy came to close and scar stepped Over his sister to actually protect her an growl at a dagga boy which she joined (as you will see in pics) then after that once she returned an ate scar waited at a distance for her to finish and once she was actually done then he nudged her and walked off with her.. that bond that's there is gonna be unbreakable in the future and they may be my favorite cats as they show a loyalty and love us humans or most of us dream we could actually achieve and I can't wait to see the growth of both them and keep you all in the loop of these incredible cats.
