To celebrate , I thought I would share just three of the photos that I took when we stumbled across a lion and lioness with a warthog kill whilst out on the reserve. I think this is definitely one of the highlights of the trip and is certainly a sight I will never forget. We sat for about an hour in absolute awe of these beautiful animals and we were only a few feet away. This is where this stunning species belongs. In the wild.

05.07.16- Day 1
I don't think I will ever be able to get over these spectacular views! If you look closely at the middle of the picture on the right, you can just make out an African Fish Eagle sat in the trees.

The lighting wasn't great but this was my first day at Shamwari. We visited their rehabilitation centre where we met these two gorgeous orphaned baby Rhinos- Noel and Winston. They had such horrible starts to their lives as both of them had witnessed their mothers being murdered for their horns. When they arrived at the rehab centre, they were so traumatised by their horrific experiences that in order to get them to feed, they had to be blindfolded so they were unable to see the humans holding the bottle. Now they have formed strong bonds with their carers and are both doing very well.
