Art can be absolutely anything under the sun, from a toddlers’ drawing to a multi-million-rand masterpiece. But there’s something truly special about the art of food. Playing with colour, texture and presentation can turn a plate into something magical. And the best part? It doesn’t only entertain the eye, it brings the taste buds into the experience too.

I had the pleasure of photographing the incredible food at Salt & Copper in Hartenbos, where every dish felt like its own little work of art and taste sensation.

One of the things I love most about being a photographer is that every shoot gives me the opportunity to experience something different and Edward’s matric farewell photoshoot was certainly no exception.

We had the incredible setting of Mossel Bay Airport, where Edward could combine two of his biggest passions aviation and cars. Shooting alongside a beautiful fixed-wing Sling, as well as the absolute beast that is the Ford Raptor SVT, made for a truly unique session.

Working inside a dark warehouse, playing with light and finding creative ways to highlight Edward and the aircraft, brought its own challenges, but also made the images that much more rewarding.

Edward, thank you for allowing me to be part of such a special occasion. I hope your passion for aviation takes you exactly where you want to go & wishing you an incredible future ahead!

There’s something magnificent about starting a shoot at sunrise, add a gymnast to the mix and suddenly every second becomes a challenge.

You never quite know what the next millisecond will bring, where the perfect spot with be for the highlight of the move, the exact moment of the shutter or what the final image will look like. Every movement creates something different and that’s what makes photographing gymnastics so exciting.

What a fantastic experience with the talented young Hatting.

There is something special about photographing a family together, especially when you can combine it with a beautiful Mossel Bay sunrise.

This family chose the beach for their shoot, bright and early, but they were not disappointed by the stunning backdrop. They brought plenty of energy, laughter and a little friendly competition into the morning. Kids can be a handful, but when the adults take over, the kids become a BREEZE! We captured the spontaneous moments, interactions and emotions that make family photographs truly meaningful.

Baie dankie aan die John gesin, vir die voorreg om weer julle te kon vasvang.

’n Paar jaar gelede het ek die voorreg gehad om julle troue af te neem en kyk net waar is ons vandag, ’n lieflike dame wat rondhardloop in die veld!

Sy was nie juis baie opgewonde oor die vreemde Oom met sy liggie nie, maar ons het darem ’n paar baie spesiale oomblikke saam vasvang.

Mag julle elke oomblik van die avontuur saam geniet!
