It’s All in the Details 🔍☕

When capturing photos of a vibey spot like a cafe, the magic happens in the details that standard smartphone snapshots miss. We recently had the oppertunity to take some photos at a great local café - The Famiglia is based in Groot Brak, has a super relaxed vibe, blending minimalism and rustic charm all in one (not to mention they make a mean cappuccino!). They are a great spot for the whole family to visit and for kiddies parties yet also cater to corporate events and functions.

As a commercial photographer, my approach is always to blend wide architectural shots with tight, high-end captures and most importantly - capturing the essence of a place and its people📸

Had an incredible time shooting this urban editorial session with Abigail de Bruyn . We wanted to blend the raw texture of street culture with a moody, cool cinematic aesthetic—balancing grit, deep tones, and bold backdrops.

From the vibrant wall mural to the quiet, hidden corners of town, we followed the path less travelled.

Swapping out studio sessions for a quick afternoon tracking the local birdlife in Mossel Bay. There’s something incredibly therapeutic about wildlife photography—it’s just you, the ocean, and a split second to freeze a frame.

Our studio series with model Zanté Prinsloo concludes with a look that bridges the gap between the corporate world and high fashion.

We started with a clean, confident executive look and slowly evolved the mood and leaned into more dramatic, high-contrast shadows.
