Our natural world is an endless delight;

Catching the exact moment a Lesser Grey Shrike trades its perch for the sky. The bush moves fast, but when your settings are dialed in and the light hits just right, magic happens.

Never stop framing—there is a story in every wingbeat.

Your Daily Dose of Kalahari Cuteness!

Peeking out of the burrow to see what the neighbors are up to! There is nothing quite like spending the early morning sitting quietly near a meerkat community.

Serving up your daily dose of absolute cuteness from the heart of the Kalahari! There's something endearing about catching a meerkat right at the entrance of its burrow—perfectly framed by the Kalahari sand, with those giant dark eyes locked right onto your lens.

Pure Kruger Bliss: Playful Wild Dogs!

There is nothing like the energy of an African Wild Dog pack when the play mood strikes. We came across these boisterous beauties in the Kruger National Park.

While they are legendary for being some of Africa’s most efficient and calculated apex predators, moments like this show a completely different side to their complex social structure. The greeting rituals, the playful nips, and the endless chasing are how this tight-knit pack bonds and communicates.

A fun filled morning near Orpen.

Boys will be boys—even in the African bush! 🦓

Ran into these two young Zebra stallions putting on a show in the Kruger National Park. While it looks like an all-out brawl, this was actually a crucial practice session.

Young stallions regularly spar to test their strength, hone their fighting skills, and prepare for the day they'll have to defend a harem of their own. It’s high-energy stuff, and thrilling capture at high shutter speeds.

Incoming Bee-eater! 🟢🟡

A split-second sequence from the red sands of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

It is incredibly rewarding to sit by a waterhole or a dry riverbed and just watch these Swallow-tailed bee-eaters hunt. They move so fast that their aerial acrobatics are often just a blur to the naked eye. Freezing the action frame-by-frame really lets you appreciate their incredible flight control.
From the wide-open approach to the final touchdown, nature's design is on full display here.

The Meerkat Sanctuary - Kalahari Trails.

There is something deeply humbling about stepping into the world of a meerkat community. Spending time in their surroundings is always a special experience, I got to do this at Kalahari Trails.

In these frames, the focus is entirely on the sentry. While the rest of the mob forages and plays, this lone guardian stands tall, scanning the skies and the horizon. It’s an example of selflessness and vigilance—one life dedicated to the safety of the whole family.

It’s their intricate social structure that completely fascinates me.

Pure Kruger Magic... The Rest of the Story 🐆👇

Remember the cautious cub debating the climb?

Part two of this incredible leopard sighting is here. I’ve combined some of Anne’s live cellphone footage with my still images to capture the moment—from "Old Cautious" finally negotiating the trek down, the other sibling paying cat and mouse to mom safely leading her youngsters into the dense bush.

An unforgettable Kruger encounter! 🐾

Pure Kruger Magic... 🐾

Earlier this month, we stumbled upon a gorgeous mom and her two youngsters. Mom and one cub easily made their way down the tree, leaving the third—a very cautious little character—debating the climb.

Got halfway there then decided to turn back before reversing down again. More of the story coming soon.
