Dear Bride to Be,
When you ask until what time I will be staying on your wedding day, I will tell you I stay until I am no longer needed; and this is what I mean…
It’s me, in the background, sweating all the small stuff so you can be fully present on your most beautiful day. It’s me, carrying your veil (at times) behind you so no harm comes to it and making sure it sits perfectly moments before taking your precious pictures. I am also the one who makes sure that before every picture you are perfect.
Yes, your Maid of Honour and or Bridesmaids do that too, but I am literally the last one who can make sure you look and feel perfect. It also means I spend quite a lot of time crawling behind and more often than not between your legs to make sure nothing snags or is where it shouldn’t be….
You see, I’m not only your photographer.. I’m the one who makes sure whatever is forgotten or left behind gets to where it should be or is done so you don’t have to stress about it. Yes, I get paid; but not for these things. I get paid to do photos, but the rest is because I know? My gorgeous bride I do these things because I care. Because I’m just as proud as your dad when he sees your pictures for the first time. I cry just as much when I see all the special moments we had and know you will cherish them forever. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
To my Brides; past, future and present: I love you like family, and feel so blessed and honoured to have the privilege of being there for you every step of the way on your most beautiful day.
