*** It's been a while! ***

So happy to finally dust off my camera and do an actual photoshoot again.
There were a few things that made this shoot EXTRA special:
- It was the first shoot of the year! Happy 2021!
- It was in a stunning forest location
But, most importantly, it was the maternity shoot for one of my closest friends ❤️

*** A very special wedding ceremony ***

I think we can all agree that the last few weeks have been tough.
Everyone has felt the effects of this pandemic in one way or another and it doesn't look like it will be going anywhere in the foreseeable future.

However, there is beauty and love to be found amidst all the doom and gloom. On the 1st of June, we moved down to lockdown level 3, this meant that marriage once again became possible, YAY!

I was lucky enough to be a witness and photographer for the marriage of one of my closest friends (whilst adhering to COVID-19 regulations). Apart from the sneaky little 2-minute couple shoot on the beach...

*** Just a little note ***

It has been over a month now since my last shoot and since my camera bag began collecting dust in the corner.

As a photographer, I have really been missing the passion and excitement that my shoots always bring me.

My heart goes out to the moms & dads who so desperately wanted a photographer present at their baby's birth, all the kiddies having lonely birthday parties and the mommy's who didn't get the chance to have a maternity shoot.
To all my fellow photographers who presumably feel as down and out as I do.

Stay safe and keep up the social distancing!
We will get through this.

Talk about Insta-worthy! ✨🌈

Image Essence Photography attended a VERY special 1st birthday party recently!
After being present to photograph Knox's baby shower and birth, here we are a year later, at his FIRST birthday. How time flies!

Such a fun, bright, rainbow-themed party with all the details thought through beautifully! Many of the delicious treats were even made by the mommy herself, seriously impressive.

I get happy just scrolling through these images!
