Landscapes by Tyron van der Berg

Landscapes by Tyron van der Berg Tyron van der Berg is a South African landscape photographer, offering contemporary perspex prints o I haven't put down my camera since.

Growing up and living in Hout Bay, Cape Town, I have spent my life surrounded by the ocean and the mountains - something that has afforded endless inspiration to me as a landscape photographer. I'm a former 3D artist, with a background in animation, and developed a keen interest in photography in 2013. My focus is on creating vibrant, beautiful landscapes of Cape Town, and exploring hidden gems along the way.

Last week I was coaxed out by Where The Light Is: Photography by Jon Kerrin. Having been struggling for months with any motivation to actually go and shoot new landscapes, I found myself at an old favourite getting a proper light show for my efforts.

Sometimes the hardest part is just getting out the front door.

Keeping in tradition with my irregular and non existent post schedule.
This weekend I returned to Kromriver to shoot astro again but this time up at Truitjieskraal.

I've been on many adventures in between these last 2 posts, including 2 weeks in Namibia where I traveled all the way to the northern most boarder. Hopefully I will get around to actually editing and posting more frequently.

I nearly forgot I have a page, 2020.. it's been a year guys.

On Saturday I had the good fortune of getting back out into nature and doing what I love with some great friends. It was the last good weekend to shoot the milkyway before it goes into hiding and what better place than Kromrivier in the Cederberg?
