See what we did there...? π For those who don't know what on earth this thing is... Spring reverb dates back to the 1930s, when Hammond Organ engineers found that sending audio through a suspended metal spring created a natural, wobbly echo.
By the late '50s and '60s, Fender built it into their amps - giving surf rock and rockabilly that iconic shimmering sound still used today.
