✨ A Christmas shoot at the vlei 🎄📸

This might honestly have been the perfect location… Beautiful scenery, nature all around, a soft breeze, and of course the friendliest people cheering us on as they walked past. 🌿✨

And honestly… the vlei looks 10 times better than any studio setup — or what do you think? 😄📷

The wind did try its best to steal the show a few times and almost sent the whole Christmas tree—balls and all—straight into the water! But that’s what makes outdoor shoots unforgettable. 💨🌊🎄

But this shoot also hit me with a little bit of reality… My Potchefstroom student chapter is officially coming to an end. ❤️ This was my very last photoshoot at the vlei before hitting the road and starting a new chapter. 🚗✨

What a special way to wrap it all up. 🎁❤️

This shoot was such a fun first for me — a friend session of four, but with two people sharing the same name 😅✨

So yes… it was Miané ×2, and honestly? It was as cool as it was confusing!

These girls made the shoot such a vibe! A little shy at the start, but once the ice was broken… pure fun and laughter in the best way possible 💛📸

And a huge shoutout to the moms — bubble-blowing and flower-picking legends 🌸🫧 Thank you for all the help!

✨ And of course, congratulations!
They’ve officially wrapped up Grade 8 and had a fun-filled day planned to celebrate another successful year 🎉📚

This shoot was something completely out of the ordinary. ✨

I took a trip all the way to the Johannesburg Botanical Garden for this session… and honestly, it was picture perfect in every way. 🌿📸

Travel shoots just hit differently—there’s something about a new location that sparks a whole new level of creativity, opens your eyes to new spaces, and reminds me why I love photography in the first place. ✈️💭

If you know my style, you’ll know I usually lean toward lighter, brighter edits. ☀️
But this session? The complete opposite.
It’s dark. Moody. Dramatic. 🌧️

And honestly… I love it. 🤍

The weather told its own story—cloudy, rainy, with a beautiful landscape that set the tone. But despite the darker tones, the people in front of my lens truly lit up every frame. ✨📷

Sometimes the unexpected days, the imperfect weather, and the shift in style create the most memorable images. 🌦️

Sometimes the mood chooses you — and this one chose magic. ✨

I had the privilege of photographing my beautiful niece! 💕

Even though she’s just had her matric farewell and is soon finishing her final exams, I can’t help but see the little girl I once knew — now transformed into a stunning young lady. My heart is overflowing with pride, and I truly understand the saying, “They grow up so quickly.”

This shoot was one of my absolute favourites — filled with love, family, friends, and laughter. The day started warm and sunny, then suddenly shifted into a dramatic cloudburst of rain — the perfect mix for unforgettable photos! ☀️🌧️📸

And Brandon… even though I called you by a dozen names during the shoot — Brendon, Brennie, and even Brandy 😅 — you were the perfect gentleman and such a great sport! You made the session even more fun (especially when that champagne didn’t spray quite as planned! 🥂😂).

This shoot was definitely one for the books! 💃🕺

Henco’s mom mentioned that the two of them love to dance, so we kicked things off at the famous white sand spot in Potchefstroom with a good old Afrikaans boere tune. From there, we switched things up with some slick James Bond–style shots — and of course, a Steri Stumpie and a donut made it all even better. 😎📸

Another awesome photoshoot in the books! Honestly, I love all my shoots, but this one had something a little extra.

We decided not to go heavy on the poses and just have some fun instead. That made such a difference — it felt natural, relaxed, and full of laughs. These two were so easy to work with, super friendly, and completely in love, which made everything flow effortlessly.

What I loved most was how the small moments became the best photos — the little glances, the laughter in between, and just the way they were around each other.

And of course, we had to finish it off properly: donuts in one hand and a glass of champagne in the other. Not a bad way to end a photoshoot! 🥂🍩
