Wayde Flowerday Photography Capturing jump shots since 2015. I have been part of the South African music scene for longer than I can remember. Thus, I bought my first camera.

Starting with organizing and marketing small events, I eventually progressed to music journalism. My journalism career introduced me to some wonderful people and is a story in and of itself. Finding myself behind the barrier at most shows, I decided it would be better to spend my time capturing these events, as well as writing about them. I have been focused on capturing live music events since ea

rly 2015. In my tenure as a photographer, I have had the opportunity to capture a wide array of bands, both local and international. I have been privileged to be (and continue to be) the official photographer for a number of bands (including but not limited to): Seether (USA), Atreyu (USA), Bowling for Soup (USA), Fokofpolisiekar (RSA), Francois Van Coke (RSA), Van Coke Kartel (RSA), Facing The Gallows (RSA), Tweak (RSA), Spoegwolf (RSA), Vulvodynia (RSA), BCUC (RSA), Angie Oeh (RSA), Jack Parow (RSA), Hellcats (RSA), Deity's Muse (RSA), Made for Broadway, as well as for many festivals (and other artists). It's been a privilege to work with for the past decade.

From klein dorpies, to huge stages, festivals, and international countries, I've had the best time photographing a band that has meant so much to so many.

1 week ago, we welcomed Layla Jean Lee Flowerday to the world. Born on 12/06/2024, at 06:12AM.

If we were American, this would be even cooler as it would be 06/12/'24 - 06:12.

In one week, I've learnt that it is completely possible to fall head over heels in love with someone you hadn't met until 7 days ago.

In one week I've learnt that .flowerday is already the most amazing mother, and any child would be lucky to have her as mother. She's been stronger than all belief, and already willing to sacrifice anything for Layla. If it weren't for Bianca's perseverance, dedication, and love, I would not have the joy of being a father to such a beautiful little girl.

I've learnt that her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and honorary aunts and uncles love her irrevocably, and will continue to be a positive force in her life.

In 1 week, I've learnt that she is the biggest blessing in my life, and nothing can top this. ❤️
