🍒I want to tell you about my incredibly brave and beautiful client, Eldine, an absolute gem of a woman.

She hated everything about herself, shaped by years of trauma, but she has been on a healing journey. Slowly, she’s been learning to love her body, to be kinder to herself, and to know that she is enough. More than enough. This shoot became an affirmation, a way to witness her own transformation and the work she has done to heal.

I have had a long rough journey with mental health problems and I HATED absolutely everything about myself and I mean EVERYTHING.

🍒Bridal Portraits And Art House Bo***ir

A little while ago, I worked with a beautiful client who wanted to revisit her wedding day portraits in a way that truly honoured the intricate beauty of her gown. Her original wedding photos didn’t quite capture the finer details, and she wanted to see herself in that dress in a way that felt more true to her. Her vision? Bridal portraits that celebrated every inch of that dress, set against the iconic Jozi skyline.

After a whole lot of venue scouting, I found a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of the Johannesburg CBD, a quirky, colourful, art-filled loft apartment with raw industrial charm and sweeping city views. The second I walked in, I knew this was the one! ♥️

We began the session with her bridal portraits, and the contrast of her gown against the textured, vibrant setting was everything. Every detail stood out beautifully, and she was thrilled to finally have the portraits she had always wanted.

With the rest of our time together, we created a set of unique and intimate bo***ir portraits. The bold colours, moody textures, and that unforgettable city backdrop gave the entire shoot a distinct energy and vibe.

It’s not often I get to share bo***ir photos, most of my fabulous clients choose to keep their images private (which I completely respect and honour). But every now and then, a fabulous woman like Jody gives me the go-ahead to share a few favourites. 🍒

These photos were taken during our session just before she headed off back to the USA, and what a powerful experience it was.

🍒Buckle up because this delightful little PinUp shoot with the gorgeous Gail was an absolute blast from the past! We took off (pun fully intended!) at the Rand Airport Museum, where vintage planes and retro glam collided in the most fabulous way.

Gail absolutely rocked her adorable pinup outfits, think polka dots, perfect curls, and that classic sass, and every shot was a cheeky wink to the golden age of aviation. This shoot was a surprise gift for her partner who’s a total vintage plane fanatic.

When I first spoke to Candice, we had one of those deep, soul-opening conversations that stays with you.

Friday was an absolute dream!
I had the joy of photographing the most lovely and inspiring client, visiting all the way from Denmark for an event, and she decided to make the most of her time here by booking a personal branding and lifestyle shoot. What an honour to be part of her journey while she was in South Africa!

The vibe of the shoot was everything I love, relaxed, fun, and full of genuine connection. She was an absolute joy to work with, and all the planning and prep we did ahead of time truly paid off.

We shot at one of my favourite locations, Kleine Rijke in Hartbeespoort. The architecture there is so whimsical and unique, a dream backdrop for creating magic. And after a week of gloomy, grey skies, the sun finally showed up and gave us the most beautiful light.

So grateful for days like this, filled with creativity and a whole lot of heart. I can’t wait to share more from this gorgeous session!
