Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending the day with an incredible, inspiring bunch of women - helicopter pilot, breast cancer thriver (yup, love that description!), journalists, business women, creative arts consultants, make-over specialists and so much more…and all this over a delicious high tea! There were so many special moments but one quote struck me from Tasneem’s talk “I don’t go to my God and tell Him how big my problems are, I go to my problems and tell them how big my God is”. Powerful stuff! Thank you for sharing your story 💞 and thank you for picking me to share the afternoon with you.

Splintered heart,
paper-cut tear trails
blistered dreams,
epic f a i l s.

A year of pruning
Who was I fooling?
Idols pulled down;
yes - idols of children, exercise, loved ones and busyness worn as a crown.

Funny how when they’re exposed by God via sometimes unkind circumstances.
we are left utterly b a r e.
But He is amidst all the nuances of our despair,
forever extending g r a c e.
If only we ask for it.
