The Art of Four Corners

The Art of Four Corners As a cinematographer, every now and then I see something and I get that flutter in my tummy I can not ignore.

A sense of floating, the universe holding you in its hands, I see it, it speaks to me, so I give it a voice, within the four corners of my frame

The picture says it all. The emotion, the thoughts, the feeling, in one moment like this.

While tailing gating the director down the alley. Just as there was barely enough light for me to get my shot for the day and as the actor delved further and further into the darkness of this alley way, I held him within my frame, hoping for just a moment, and then he turned, and gave me this gift.

There is just something about being on a grueling 18hour set, we're all tired, running on fumes. But moments like these, when an Actor breaks character, and just lets out a laugh. This is why I do what I do. For one moment, just like this. What a boost!
