There are many people who dislike "Milky water"
I personally like it and do it to eliminate all the distracting ripples in the foreground and it shows the water direction even in the flatter water. (there is a place for both frozen and milky)
How much is too much?
1/30th and slower is good, but just experiment with what speed personally gives you the best look. (Dont like what others tell u is right❌ We are unique and find different things appealing...)
If you want the clouds and foliage to move 30 sec and longer will do the trick, if its blue sky around a quarter of a sec is good...

Be sure to not leave your location till its litrally too dark to find your way home, but make sure that not so friendly shooting thing is by your side in case people get hungry for your toys....
