Wonderful wedding this weekend with a phenomenal couple. It was also a first for us in that we printed custom thank you cards at the event. We picked a photo, made a thank you card and ran off prints for each guest on our instant photo printer. It was so special for the bride and groom to give out a photo taken only an hour prior to each of their treasured guests.

Photo tip of the day: To get the best family photos, have your camera handy.

This may sound like the most obvious tip ever but think about it. The first thing you do after buying a nice camera is to get a bag and lock it in a cupboard to keep it safe. When the kids are playing and you want to take a photo, you reach for your cell phone instead. While cell phones are great in good lighting conditions, often the photos they produce inside are a lot less impressive.

So, take the camera out of its bag and leave it in a spot that is easily accessible and can be grabbed at a moment's notice. That way when your daughter jumps in the mud (hypothetically speaking), you can capture the moment perfectly.

Photographic Tip for the Day:
When you are taking photos of your children, get down really low so that you are shooting from their level. It usually makes for a much more engaging photo. Even if you don't frame it perfectly (like the one below), it often makes for an interesting picture.
