We spotted her quietly walking along the roadside in the Mkuze Game Reserve last month.
She slowly made her way to a massive tree about 100 meters away, paused, looked up… and leapt straight in.

Only afterwards did we realise she wasn’t alone up there 👀

Part 2 coming next.

Golden hour magic in the Kruger 🌅

A beautiful leopard crossing the S130 near Crocodile Bridge as the sun dipped below the horizon.

Few sightings stop your breath like this… pure Africa.

An overcast morning in Mkuze Game Reserve turned electric.

We encountered wild dogs on the hunt, locked in on an impala.
Determined, fast, and relentless — but this time, the impala escaped.

An exhilarating reminder of how intense and unpredictable the wild truly is.

What a way to end the year🙏🏻

We managed to find two leopards crossing the road on our second last evening in St Lucia at Mission Rocks Eastern Shores.

This is an extremely rare sighting in iSimangaliso Wetland Park – Eastern Shores, St Lucia.

Leopards are seldom seen here…
seeing two together, this close to the ocean, is almost unheard of.

As we reached the end of the road near the parking lot,
we found around 10 cars stuck behind two buffalo,
standing head-on and refusing to move for what must have been 10 minutes.

Sharna suggested we turn around as the road should be quiet from this break of cars on the road. Sharna Goldstein

We hadn’t gone more than 500 metres
when a leopard stood perfectly still in the road, staring straight at us.

As I began photographing it,
another leopard appeared out of nowhere.

They crossed together, played on the roadside,
then disappeared up the hill —
leaving us stunned, hearts racing,
and reminded just how wild this place truly is.

A moment we’ll never forget 🐆🐆

We thought it might be a genet… or some other cool nocturnal visitor.

I took two steps out of the chalet door —
and came face to face with a massive bull elephant.

I calmly took two steps backwards, closed the door,
and ran to tell my wife:
“It’s an elephant.”

We opened the window to find him peacefully grazing —
the very branch he had just broken into our window.

From the safety of our chalet, our family shared
one of the most unique and wild viewing experiences imaginable,
watching this giant feed… and then disappear back into the thickets.

All of this happened at the wonderful Mantuma Camp,
a true hidden gem in Mkuze Nature Reserve.

One of many incredible moments I can’t wait to share with you all 🌿🐘 #

What starts as play quickly turns into chaos…

A pack of African wild dogs chases a leopard up a tree after it had just made a kill.

Raw, rare and unforgettable moments from Mkuze Game Reserve.

An elephant jogged toward us — not aggressively, just curious.
For a few seconds, everything slowed down. 🐘
