Still not over the love from this weekend 🥰✨

These are a few of the beautiful souls who stepped into my Valentine’s Photo Booth at Nonna’s in Nelson Mandela Square, and honestly? Every single photo (even the ones not in this carousel!) turned out magic. I truly believe that’s because of who was in front of my camera. The love, the laughter, the softness - you can’t fake that.

This was my very first public pop-up and my first time shooting with a two-light setup (hello growth!! 👀) plus some brand new gear! My Canon R8 + 50mm lens captured these sweet little moments so perfectly. I was nervous, excited and completely in my element all at once.

I couldn’t have done this without the beautiful space at .nelson_mandela_square , everyone who stepped in, shared my ads, hyped me up, and trusted me to capture your love.
And extra special thank you to .zarina , .razak , .ar.ne and .a.y for being my behind the scenes heroes 🤍

The clouds gave us a pause, and then a moment.

Stepping outside with Kayla and Suhail felt special. The light softened, the air felt still, and suddenly everything slowed down.
I didn’t need to direct much, they simply moved together, laughed, danced a little, and let the moment be what it was.

These frames are some of my favourites from the day. They feel honest, romantic, and full of that once-in-a-lifetime excitement that comes with a milestone like this. Watching them interact so naturally made it easy to capture something real, the kind of images that feel like memories rather than poses.

and were an absolute dream to photograph

A young, stylish couple glowing with excitement for their matric dance. It was impossible to not get swept up in the moment seeing them all dressed up and ready for such a special milestone.

We began the shoot at home just after midday, surrounded by friends and family, which gave the session such a warm, joyful energy.
With the rain making its expected appearance, we leaned into an indoor setup, and it couldn’t have worked out better. The draped white backdrop paired beautifully with Kayla’s silky, backless red dress and Suhail’s classic black suit, creating a timeless yet romantic feel with a little bit of playfulness.

I was truly honoured to be chosen to capture this moment for them, and I loved being fully involved in shaping each shot. Photographed on the Canon EOS R8 with a 50mm lens, plus a little creative light improvisation, this session was all about making the most of the moment and having fun while doing it.

We did manage to sneak in a few outdoor shots between the rain - edited with a different mood - and those will be shared soon ✨

This engagement celebration was such a special one for me.

It was a private garden event, intimate, thoughtful, and overflowing with love and happiness.

From the moment I arrived, I could tell how much care had gone into every detail. The little candles, the floral touches, the laughter drifting through the garden… everything came together so beautifully.

Even though it was a small gathering, it was filled with such big energy. There were warm smiles, heartfelt embraces, and those little moments that say so much without a word... I remember smiling behind the camera, just soaking it all in.

Because it was a private celebration, I can only share a few glimpses, but I couldn’t resist posting a peek at how beautiful it all was. This day reminded me why I love what I do - capturing genuine, joyful moments that people will cherish for years to come.

To the lovely couple and their families, thank you for trusting me to be part of your special day and for making me feel like part of the family.
I left with a full heart and the happiest memories. 💕🌿💍
