I know you spend more time on breakups then the world allows you to
But that’s what genuine love is
Through the rain and the pain, it still remains

That’s what investing in love does
Even at the collapse of the market
You never applied love like the rest even when it’s left you depressed
How you refuse to love half-heartedly even though constant disappointment has suggested it best

“The summoning presence in her step, ooh sweet movement
Men stand awaiting their chance
Like a trail of ants
Hoping to hold her by her waist

For today I waltz with a star
I speak about that girl next door

She greets you with a shy smile hoping you don’t ask why
Gracious in many forms
