From a High School in Cape Town to collaborating often with a Surf School in Jeffrey's Bay, I find myself living vicariously through the lens chasing the 'PAUSE'. My love for film started as a little girl and was born and bred in a moment of loudly infectious laughter that had me glancing back over my shoulder...my beautiful family gathered around a shared fire...for the first time I experienced
what 'Heart-warming' felt like...I remained watching them interact and wondered what words I would or could use to describe this experience to mum and dad later. I eventually came to the conclusion words would not suffice and realized soon enough that if they did, I did not have them. They would have to sit back from a distance and see what I see to understand...If only I could 'PAUSE' the moment and 'REPLAY' it later...
I guess ultimately my love for Film and Photography is about just that, trying to capture and preserve moments that remind us to 'PAUSE', to Breathe and to Know that ultimately there is more good in this world than there is bad.
