There’s something incredibly powerful about photographing a couple during the season just before their family changes forever.

This moment with Onwaba and her husband at Brahman Hills was about more than a beautiful setting or a beautiful photograph. It was about capturing the love, excitement and quiet anticipation of becoming parents.

One day, their little one will look at this photograph and see two people who were already completely wrapped up in love for them.

And that’s the part of photography I never take for granted.

One of the things that stood out to me at Onwaba’s baby shower was the beautiful décor. Every detail came together to create a space that felt warm, elegant and incredibly special. 🤍

From the carefully chosen colours and florals to the thoughtful little touches throughout the venue, the décor wasn’t simply there to look beautiful—it helped set the tone for a day celebrating love, new beginnings and the arrival of a precious little one. 🍼✨

As a photographer, I love capturing these details because they are part of the story too. Years from now, these images will bring back not only the emotions of the day, but the atmosphere—the little things that made it their celebration.

This image tells a beautiful story—not just of a baby on the way, but of love, anticipation, and the people who get to witness a family growing.

Some moments deserve more than a photograph. They deserve to be remembered. 🤍

I was honoured to be invited to capture Onwaba’s baby shower at Brahman Hills, and while the celebration was centred around welcoming a beautiful new life, I had the privilege of capturing something even bigger—the love surrounding this growing family.

From the laughter and excitement to the quiet, intimate moments between two people preparing for one of life’s biggest chapters, every detail told a story.

And this photograph? This is why I love what I do.

Because one day, this little baby will look back at these images and see the love that was already waiting for them before they even arrived. 🥹🤍
