Had the absolute pleasure of doing a photoshoot of this gorgeous little super model yesterday! Toy-crazy Bella had us giggling at her antics one minute, followed by striking a pose the next! Had such fun with this little poppet.

Never easy to comb through the hundreds of photos I end up taking on a trip 🥴though here are some of my favourites, obviously excluding majority of the leopard I'd already posted. Kruger will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I'm so grateful for every opportunity we have to go there. We were incredibly lucky to have spotted so many different animals including lion, leopard, cheetah, african wild dog, african wild cat, hyena and a multitude more. Reminiscing being kept awake at night with roaring lions, rasping leopards joined by hyena and jackal, sounding like they're just behind us.

As always, the biggest thank you goes to my husband, personal chauffeur, dedicated driver and bush-buddy extraordinaire, Mark Justham. Without you, none of this is possible ###

Just so incredibly thrilled and privileged to see this large male leopard (always on the bucket list), just off the road. And so lucky to have him all to ourselves for a few minutes. Spotted on the H1-3 between Tshokwane Picnic Spot and Satara. This big boy had stashed a porcupine higher up in the tree, and was checking the area out as we spotted him. With the coast being clear, he then went up the tree to collect his stash and popped out the tree to enjoy his meal in the shade below.

*Pretty Little Trio*

Three gorgeous European Bee-Eaters at iSimangaliso Wetland Park when we visited over December. The bird life is extraordinary up that way 🥰

There is nothing quite as "Iconic African" as hearing the African Fish Eagle calling. I had heard the distant call, though couldn't see them. My dear friend and mutual bird lover lives on the next hill over, in our Valley of A Thousand Hills. I receive a message from her stating they're headed my way. Armed with my camera, I'm ready, and less than a minute later they appeared. Not one, not two, but three African Fish Eagles flying above me. Calling out continuously to each other. It's enough to give you shivers. And in a stroke of luck, a Common Buzzard entered the party, and in one shot, flew directly overhead one of the eagles (see first photo). Day made. 😍

A new first for me - A Juvenile Klaas's Cuckoo! Had never before even laid my eyes on one of these guys. Heard the very distinct call coming from the bottom of our garden, and off I raced with camera in tow. Such pretty little characters.

Been so fortunate to have a breeding pair of African Harrier Hawks (Gymnogene) plus their youngster frequenting the area. Often hearing them calling and suddenly having three flying right above me.
