Mountain Zebra National Park 🦓⛰️ First time visit and it definitely didn’t disappoint! Breathtaking views, great accommodation, very friendly team & incredibly peaceful.
PS We came across two beautiful lionesses as well but it was a bit of a distance for my little 📸

A quick guide to Hogsback - set in the beautiful Amatole Mountains of the Eastern Cape:
• A varied range of beautiful hikes, from beginner to advanced levels
• Quirky little gift shops and local pubs to visit
• Great coffee with the option of coffee & chocolate pairing - highly recommend!
• Delish, hearty food everywhere we ate, particularly at The Edge 🍕
• Stunning gardens to wonder through & really engage your imagination (one particularly at the Crystal Corner)

Insider tips:
• Don’t expect anything to be open before 9am
• It is a rural village with occasional electricity issues so make sure you pack an extra spotlight & some blitz for a braai!
• Always pack an extra layer, the evenings get very chilly
• The roads can be a bit rough, so a higher clearance vehicle is recommended
• lf you’re unsure about which hiking route to use, the locals are very friendly & knowledgeable about the area - especially at 🧚‍♀️

If you’re looking for a getaway to unwind, reconnect with nature and experience silence - no traffic or city noises, then Hogsback is definitely for you! ⛰️
