In a recent statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun expressed support for South Africa's participation in G20 cooperation. China looks forward to partnering with South Africa and other G20 members to uphold multilateralism, foster global economic growth, and enhance international economic governance. South Africa’s largest trading partner is China, with bilateral trade reaching an estimated $55.2 billion in 2023, over twice the volume with the United States.
