Thinking back to how I started with my photography… 📸❤️

I’ve been thinking about my very first photoshoots, those first photography giveaways, and the people who trusted me to capture their special moments when I was still finding my feet.

I remember the excitement. The nerves. The feeling of holding my camera and wondering if I was getting everything right. I remember my first clients and how much those early shoots meant to me.

At the time, I was still learning so much — camera settings, lighting, posing, editing… everything. There were things I didn’t understand yet, and honestly, I didn’t know then what I know now.

But that’s the beauty of starting somewhere. You learn. You make mistakes. You try again. You grow. And one day, you look back at those first photos and realise just how far you’ve come.

Photography has never just been about taking a photo for me. I genuinely love what I do. I love creating, capturing people and turning little moments into memories they can keep forever. And when I look back at those first photos today, I don’t see someone who didn’t know enough. I see the person who was brave enough to start — and the clients who were brave enough to trust me.

Those first clients gave me something I didn’t fully realise I was receiving at the time: an opportunity to learn, to grow and to believe in myself. Every person who stood in front of my camera in those early days became a small part of my journey. They trusted me before I had years of experience behind me. They allowed me to practice, experiment, make mistakes, improve and eventually become the photographer I am today.

So when I look back, I’m not embarrassed by where I started. I’m grateful. Grateful for every client who trusted me. Grateful for every shoot that taught me something. Grateful for every mistake that made me better. And grateful that I never stopped learning. Because without those first people who said “yes” to a photoshoot with me, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Photography didn’t just give me a camera and a creative outlet. It gave me people, memories, experiences and a journey I’ll always be proud of.

I love photography. I love what I do. And after everything I’ve learned along the way... Photography isn’t just something I do. Photography is a part of who I am. 📸❤️

It was such a privilege for Pixels And Me Photography to support and be part of this special event. Being able to contribute to an evening celebrating beauty, confidence and culture was something I genuinely enjoyed.

Every click of the shutter tells a story. Every portrait holds a feeling. Every little detail can become a memory worth keeping.
Photography isn’t just about taking pictures. It’s about seeing — noticing the light, the emotion, the laughter, the quiet moments, and all the beautiful imperfections in between.
